Congratulations JJ Liatsos

Congratulations to J.J. Liatsos  the 2022 recipient of the Metropolis Ministry Award for distinguished service to our parish!

J.J. Liatsos grew up in the Annunciation parish in Brockton, Mass. He was an MBC (then Diocese of Boston Camp) camper in the Camp’s inaugural year of 1990. An important part of the camp experience is developing parish leaders; J.J. progressed from camper to long-time staff member to dedicated parish council member and church volunteer, and he is excited to have children who now attend MBC.

J.J. and his wife Barbara moved to central Mass. in 2005. Since then he has been a steward, Parish Council member and officer, and all-around volunteer at Sts. Anargyroi. It is fitting to also call him a Technical Coordinator. Well before the Covid-19 shutdown, J.J. became very involved in the updating of our computer and internet systems. Once our church services went to online-only in 2020 J.J quickly figured out how to implement livestreaming and was and is constantly making incremental improvements to the experience. He also coordinates outdoor movie nights at the church and, finally, volunteers and takes leadership at our annual Greek Festival all day and every day. Axios!

The 36th Metropolis Ministry Awards took place on Sunday, June 12th, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. This year also marks the 40th Anniversary of the ordination to the Episcopacy of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios. His Eminence will also be recognizing and honoring Sts. Anargyroi for our centennial celebration at the event.
